Magnetoreceptive Migration Endpoints Cluster in Geomagnetic Bands: Satellite Tracking Data from 13 Species
收藏资源简介:
"Satellite tracking data and analysis code testing whether magnetoreceptive species organize migration endpoints within specific geomagnetic latitude bands. 14 Movebank datasets (13 magnetoreceptive species, 1 non-magnetoreceptive control) comprising 467 individual migration endpoints were tested against two latitudinal bands defined by rotation to a geomagnetic pole at 61°N, 84°E. Band parameters were locked prior to animal testing and were not adjusted to fit the data. Results: 83.1% of magnetoreceptive endpoints cluster within the predicted bands, compared to a 47.3% random baseline (p < 0.001). Zero of 1,000 random poles reproduce the observed clustering. Seven of thirteen species show 90–100% concentration in a single band. Three species with South Atlantic ranges show 82–100% overlap with the South Atlantic Anomaly weak-field zone. A non-magnetoreceptive control species shows no New Band or SAA affinity. Analysis independently verified by multiple AI systems using independently written code. Package includes all raw data, reproducible Python scripts (no dependencies), null hypothesis tests, results, and a preliminary paper."
