NCCOS mapping: lakebed maps and associated geospatial data of Wisconsin - Lake Michigan from 2012-09-03 to 2020-06-29 (NCEI Accession 0222391)

This dataset includes lakebed maps and associated geospatial data in Lake Michigan within the proposed Wisconsin - Lake Michigan National Marine Sanctuary. Associated data include spatial lakebed mapping priorities, remotely sensed lakebed imagery (LiDAR bathymetry, multibeam bathymetry, backscatter, and sidescan sonar), and underwater photos and videos. The dataset includes original data collections, data assessments, and modeled data. Original data collection spans the years 2017 to 2018, and assessments and modeled data were undertaken from 2017 to 2020. This dataset was the product of a partnership among the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science, the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, and the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory. This dataset was prepared to support management by the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, Wisconsin resource management agencies, as well as other managers, researchers and stakeholders.
