Reproducibility archive for "Slope-Constrained Orography (SCO v1.0) for explicit discrete-slope control in terrain preprocessing"
收藏资源简介:
This archive supports the reproducibility of: Ma, Y., Jiang, X., Mu, L., and Heng, Z.: Slope-Constrained Orography (SCO v1.0) for explicit discrete-slope control in terrain preprocessing: a case study with WRF-ARW (v4.6.1), Geosci. Model Dev., 2026. It contains the terrain inputs, ERA5 forcing subset, derived verification data, model forecasts, namelists, and scripts used to reproduce the Table 3 and Sect. 4.3 verification results. The SCO v1.0 software is archived separately at Zenodo 10.5281/zenodo.19501184. The WRF-ARW v4.6.1 and WPS source used for the simulations is archived at Zenodo 10.5281/zenodo.20809210. Contents terrain/ Full WPS geo_em files for D01 and D02 terrain members, plus ASTER GDEM v3 tiles. verification/ Derived station-level verification aggregates and summary metrics. model_forecasts/ WRF forecasts interpolated to anonymized verification stations. scripts/ Scripts for reproducing Table 3, Sect. 4.3 statistics, and SCO terrain processing. inputs/ WPS/WRF namelists, ERA5 forcing subset, and input notes. See the detailed README files in the relevant subdirectories for file-level descriptions and input details. Restricted observations The verification uses hourly 10 m wind speed and 2 m temperature observations from the China Meteorological Administration hourly surface dataset, product SURF_CHN_MUL_HOR. The raw CMA observations are restricted under CMA data policy and are not redistributed. This archive provides only anonymized and derived verification products: station identifiers and coordinates are anonymized; no raw observation values are included; only derived error metrics, error aggregates, and model forecasts are provided. Raw CMA observations can be requested from CMA by registered users at https://data.cma.cn/en. A confidential package of the raw model–observation pairs is available to the editor and reviewers. Reproducibility Table 3 pooled RMSE, bias, and valid-pair counts, together with the Sect. 4.3 paired t-tests, can be recomputed with: python scripts/make_table3.py SCO terrain generation can be reproduced, for example, with: python scripts/sco_terrain.py terrain/geo_em.d02.RAW.nc -s 22 The WRF time step varies by member for numerical stability. The exact values are listed in inputs/namelist.input.<member>. Licenses and reuse Analysis scripts: GPL-3.0-or-later. ERA5 subset: Copernicus C3S, CC-BY 4.0. ASTER GDEM v3 tiles: NASA LP DAAC terms.
