Dataset: Strategic and Digital Enablers of Resilient Manufacturing and Sustainable Supply Chain Operations: The Mediating Role of Agility and Environmental Performance in Emerging Markets

This research investigates how key digital and strategic capabilities—predictive analytics capability (PAC), supplier digital integration (SDI), circular supply chain strategies (CSC), and technology-driven demand forecasting (TDDF)—influence resilience and sustainability in manufacturing and operations management within emerging ASEAN economies. The study further explores the mediating roles of operational agility and environmental performance in shaping outcomes across supply chain management (SCM). A structured Likert scale survey was conducted among 500 professionals in supply chain, manufacturing, and operations roles across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Respondents held mid-to senior-level management positions within manufacturing, logistics, and FMCG industries. Structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0 was employed to test the proposed framework. Results show that all four enablers (PAC, SDI, CSC, TDDF) significantly improve manufacturing and operational resilience and sustainability, both directly and via the mediating constructs. Operational agility notably mediates the influence of TDDF and CSC, while environmental performance bridges the relationship between PAC, SDI, and resilient supply chain outcomes. The dual mediation model accounts for a substantial proportion of the variance in operational and supply chain resilience. These findings underscore the critical role of agility and environmental sustainability in modern manufacturing and operations strategy. The study provides evidence that integrating digital transformation with circular supply chain principles is essential for long-term resilience in emerging market contexts. This paper contributes a validated, comprehensive model tailored for supply chain management in Southeast Asia, offering strategic insights for practitioners, academics, and policymakers.
