Description:This dataset contains the information collected and analyzed in the study "Microscale Analysis of Walkability and Urban Safety in the Downtown Area of Hermosillo." The data includes:
Pedestrian Counts:
Observed pedestrian flow data from 60 specific points in downtown Hermosillo.
Counts were conducted at different times and days to capture temporal variations.
Urban Characteristics:
17 variables describing aspects of the built environment, such as:
Sidewalk width (in meters).
Lighting (presence/absence).
Sidewalk slope (%).
Presence of urban furniture.
Land use in the area, among others.
Each variable is quantified for the same 60 observation points.
Correlation Matrix:
Results of Spearman correlation analysis between urban variables and pedestrian counts.
The matrix includes correlation coefficients and statistical significance values.
File Formats:
Pedestrian Counts Hermosillo.xlsx: Contains pedestrian counts organized by observation point, including time, and detailing the 17 built environment variables with their respective values for each point.
Correlation Matrix.xlsx: Provides the correlation matrix with Spearman values and significance levels.
