Thermal infrared (TIR) radiance acquired in 6 spectral bands between 8 to 14 microns using three CIMEL radiometers, two from the University of Valencia and one from ICube (Université de Strasbourg). The objective was to acquire calibration points during the flight overpass time and to collect a set of urban material samples outside the flight. Some measurements were performed simultaneously over the same samples with a spectroradiometer (ASD) or a SOC410-DHR handheld reflectometer. The CIMEL radiometer measures the TIR radiance in 6 spectral bands centered on the following wavelengths: - Band 6 : 8.3 microns - Band 5 : 8.7 microns - Band 4 : 9.1 microns - Band 3 : 10.65 microns - Band 2 : 11.35 microns - Band 1 : 11 microns (broadband 8-14) A TES algorithm was used to retrieved the land surface emissivity (LSE) in each band and the land surface temperature (LST) from the measured TIR radiance of the sample and the measurement of downward atmospheric radiance via an infragold target.
