Biodesign Protocol Provenance Dataset, Trace 01: Citrate in Bacterial Cellulose Growth Media
收藏资源简介:
This dataset documents a provenance trace of how citric acid and citrate are specified, described and experimentally investigated in bacterial cellulose growth media across primary sources. It contains two linked tables. citrate_sources.csv records source documents, formulations, citrate concentrations, stated functions, supporting evidence, citations, experimental treatment and verification status. citrate_citation_edges.csv records citation and claim-transmission relationships between those sources. The dataset was assembled through manual source verification undertaken for The Biodesign Academy Reading What Citric Acid Reveals About Bacterial Cellulose. It is intended as a reusable evidence base for research into biological protocol provenance, biodesign education, culture-medium design and the translation of biological procedures between research and design contexts. The dataset records what individual sources state and what evidence or citations accompany those statements. It does not assume that citrate is incorrectly described as a buffer, nor does it attempt to assign a single biological function to citrate. A data dictionary describing every field and permitted value is included. Conceptual terminology associated with the accompanying Reading is maintained separately by The Biodesign Academy's explainer page on citric acid and bacterial cellulose.
