资源简介:
We analyzed the transcriptome profiles of CD19+ B cells and CD4+ T cells from the peripheral blood of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) immediately before and after relapse therapy with high-dose methylprednisolone (MP). High-density Clariom D Arrays for human were used to quantify the transcript levels. This GEO entry provides the processed data from the gene-level and exon-level workflows. Peripheral blood was taken from 16 MS patients before the first (T0) and after the last (T1) administration of MP (up to 2000 mg/day) for the treatment of an acute exacerbation. From 3 of the patients, a blood sample pair was obtained for both the initial course of MP (M1) as well as the escalating second course of MP (M2) for the same relapse. Therefore, a total of 19 relapse treatments were evaluated. Thirteen of these led to improvements of the affected functional systems (FS) and 6 did not. CD19+ B cells were isolated from 13 blood sample pairs, while CD4+ T helper cells were isolated from 11 blood sample pairs, resulting in a total of 48 samples. Total RNA was extracted, labeled and hybridized to Clariom D microarrays to quantify the transcript levels.
