Number of small amount and short-term insurers in Japan FY 2016-2023

In the fiscal year 2023, there were around 122 small amount and short-term insurance companies in Japan. The number of companies has gradually increased in recent years.Small amount and short-term insurance companies offer so-called mini insurance products with low premiums. Depending on the type of product, the period of insurance ranges from one to two years, and insurance benefits are limited to certain amounts.
