Intended use: simplified river network for reference and visualisation of river networks in the UK. OS Open Rivers maps over 144,000 km of watercourses. These include freshwater rivers, tidal estuaries and canals. Limitations of use: the network does not include many smaller tributaries, ditches and streams - If you need more information about watercourses, we recommend OS MasterMap Water Network Layer.
