是BALB/c带nu基因的同源近交系小鼠,裸基因是八号染色体上的隐性突变基因。1973年丹麦的C.W.Friis在BALB/c近交系小鼠中发现自发性突变的无毛小鼠,培育成了BALB/c-nu,中国药品生物制品检定所繁殖裸鼠用的鼠种是BALB/c-nu/nu,系1973年从丹麦引入日本中央实验动物所研究,采用BALB/C-nu/+♀与BALB/C-nu/nu♂随机交配法进行繁殖。现由国家啮齿类实验动物资源库(原国家啮齿类实验动物种子中心)保存。该突变小鼠胸腺发育不良,T细胞免疫缺陷,B淋巴细胞正常,但功能缺陷,抗体主要为1gM,只有少量1gG。无接触敏感性。随着年龄增长,皮肤逐渐变薄、头颈部皮肤出现皱折、生长发育 迟缓。广泛应用于肿瘤学、免疫学、毒理学等基础医学和临床医学的研究。
This is a congenic inbred BALB/c mouse strain carrying the nu gene. The nude gene is a recessive mutant gene on chromosome 8. In 1973, C.W. Friis from Denmark identified spontaneous hairless mutant mice in a BALB/c inbred mouse colony, and subsequently established the BALB/c-nu strain. The BALB/c-nu/nu strain used for nude mouse breeding by the National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products was introduced to the Central Institute for Experimental Animals in Japan from Denmark in 1973 for research, and was propagated through random mating between BALB/C-nu/+ females and BALB/C-nu/nu males. Currently, this strain is maintained by the National Rodent Laboratory Animal Resource Bank (formerly the National Rodent Laboratory Animal Seed Center). This mutant mouse exhibits thymic hypoplasia and T-cell immunodeficiency. B lymphocytes are normal in number but functionally impaired; its dominant antibody subtype is IgM, with only trace amounts of IgG, and it exhibits no contact hypersensitivity. As the mice age, their skin gradually thins, skin folds appear on the head and neck, and growth retardation develops. This strain is widely used in basic and clinical medical research fields such as oncology, immunology, and toxicology.
