资源简介:
The growing threat of antimicrobial resistance poses one of the pressing challenges to global health with multidrug-resistant bacteria like Escherichia coli leading to persistent infections and limited treatment options. This study focuses on decoding the complete genome of a clinically isolated MDR E. coli strain from urine sample of a patient suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus with Urinary tract infection admitted at CRH Hospital, Gangtok, Sikkim, India. By assembling and analyzing its genome, the research aims to identify the genetic elements and resistance mechanism that underlie its treatment challenges. Understanding these factors is essential not only for developing targeted therapeutic strategies but also for guiding public health policies to combat the rising tide of drug-resistant infections.
