Spatial inventroy of lake water storage in China

This repository archives the database of in situ measurements of lake depth and storage in China, along with the derived datasets of nationwide freshwater storage distribution and statistics.It contains six datasets: Lake_surveyed, Lake_predicted, Lake_bathymetry, Freshwater_lakes, Freshwater_reservoirs, and Freshwater_watershed.<b>• </b><b>Lake_surveyed: </b>A CSV file documenting 612 lakes with in situ measurements of depth and storage.<b>• </b><b>Lake_predicted:</b> A CSV file for 2,101 lakes not covered by field surveys, where mean depth and storage were estimated using empirical models.<b>• </b><b>Lake_bathymetry:</b> Constructed lake bathymetry in GeoTIFF format for selected representative lakes.<b>• </b><b>Freshwater_lakes:</b> A shapefile showing the distribution of 1,531 freshwater lakes.<b>• </b><b>Freshwater_reservoirs:</b> A shapefile showing the distribution of 5,158 reservoirs (&gt;1 km²) across China.<b>• </b><b>Freshwater_watershed:</b> Spatial distribution of freshwater storage (lakes and reservoirs) at the secondary watershed level.
