MAISON-LLF Dataset was developed by institutions including KITE Research Institute at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, with the primary objective of monitoring the health status of older adults recovering from lower extremity fractures in community settings. This dataset encompasses multimodal sensor data collected from smartphones, smartwatches, motion detectors and sleep-tracking mattresses, alongside clinical questionnaire data related to social isolation and functional decline. A total of 10 older adults living alone at home were monitored for 8 consecutive weeks, generating 24-hour continuous sensor data across 560 days in total. The dataset was constructed using the MAISON platform for continuous data collection, and its data accuracy was validated via clinical questionnaires. Applications of the MAISON-LLF Dataset include predicting social isolation and functional decline using machine learning and deep learning models, so as to provide personalized rehabilitation strategies for older adults and improve their quality of life.
