Linked NC births and lead test results data, cohort years 1992-2009

This dataset is the combination of two sources: 1. 'Births' – Detailed birth records for births in North Carolina from 1990 through 2013. 2. 'Lead' – Blood lead level (BLL) test results for children residing in North Carolina for October 1992 through December 2015. The resulting linked dataset includes all birth and lead records for children born in the cohort years, regardless of whether they are linked. Indicators are provided to easily identify records that contain both birth and lead data for a child, only birth information, or only lead information. All records are retained so that researchers can compare the linked population to those not linked and identify biases if they exist
