The aim of this study is to know the effects of infrequent supplementation on ruminal microorganisms. Tropical forages rarely constitute a balanced diet with a lack of protein or a relative excess of energy, in this sense it is necessary to implement supplementation programs. Supplementation programs are expensive, in order to reduce operating expenses and labor, infrequent supplementation is used. However, the concentration of the supplement mass in a single day can cause undesirable effects on the rumen microbiome, these effects are still unknown.
