Aeromonas bestiarum belongs a group of mesophilic and motile aeromonad bacterial species. Aeromonas bestiarum can cause haemorrhagic septicemia in fish, and it is a causal agent of fin rot that leading to fin necrosis, skin haemorrhages and skin ulcers. Aeromonas bestiarum GA97-22 was isolated from Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in 1997 in Georgia/USA.
