This dataset contains the measured data from the monotonic CIU triaxial tests on normally consolidated Kaolin clay presented in the corresponding publication: Robinson, S., Brown, M.J., Knappett, J., Brennan, A., Duran Caballero, D. & Arroyo, M. (2025). The variation of large strain viscous rate effects from undrained triaxial element testing of Kaolin clay. This is available at: https://discovery.dundee.ac.uk/en/studentTheses/rate-effect-behaviour-of-different-clays-from-high-speed-triaxial The attached spreadsheet contains the measured Deviatoric Shear Strains and Deviator Stresses from each of the triaxial tests. The tests are fully described in the associated paper and in the author’s PhD Thesis. Each test is presented in an individual tab in the spreadsheet. The triaxial tests were normally consolidated. The naming convention of each tab is the initial mean effective stress used in the test, followed by the strain rate at which the test was conducted.
