Outstanding Landscapes

The Outstanding Landscape Overlay comprises regionally outstanding landscapes identified in the report “An Assessment of the Landscape Character of the Coastal Environment of Gisborne District”: Boffa Miskell Ltd, Auckland. The assessment was undertaken to in relation to section 6(b) of the RMA. As no definition for outstanding or significant is used in the RMA, the assessment used the collective experience of three landscape architects to identify and confirm regionally outstanding natural features and landscapes using a consistent evaluation methodology based on field surveys and secondary data.卓越景观叠加层（Outstanding Landscape Overlay）包含《吉斯本地区海岸环境景观特征评估》（An Assessment of the Landscape Character of the Coastal Environment of Gisborne District）报告中认定的区域级卓越景观，该报告由奥克兰的博法·米斯凯尔有限公司（Boffa Miskell Ltd）编制。本次评估系依据《资源管理法》（RMA）第6(b)条开展。由于《资源管理法》未对“卓越”与“重要”作出明确定义，本次评估依托三位景观建筑师的集体经验，采用基于野外调查与二手数据的统一评估方法，完成了区域级卓越自然景观与自然特征的识别与确认工作。
