资源简介:
Corallimorphs are opportunistic cnidarians that can compete with reef-building corals for substrate and thrive in disturbed conditions. We describe a corallimorph barren on a remote coral reef in the southern Red Sea across four depths. The data included here are annotations from phototransects at 5, 15, 20, and 30 depths. For each depth, 31 photos were taken of the substrate. Using CoralNet, 50 random stratified points were generated for each image. Benthic categories were assigned by manually annotating each point. This dataset includes the annotation data for each of the 50 points for all images.

## Description of the data and file structure
Phototransects were conducted on a remote coral reef in the southern Red Sea (Mubarak Reef). At four depths (5, 15, 20, and 30m), a transect line was laid out to a distance of 30 m. A photo of the substrate was taken every meter, starting at 0 m and ending at the 30 m mark (31 photos per transect). Using the software CoralNet, 50 random stratified points were generated for each image, and the points were manually annotated to assign a benthic category.Â
