EBSD Data Documenting Replacement Reactions in Ti-bearing Minerals

Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) datasets that highlight replacement of one Ti-bearing mineral by others during metamorphism or metasomatism. The datasets are from a range of mineral deposits and were chosen because they show reactions between different pairs of Ti-bearing minerals. Also included are scripts to produce plots of the data using the open source MTEX software package.\nLineage: Data were collected using a Zeiss UltraPlus Scanning Electron Microscope equipped with a Bruker eFlashHR EBSD detector and using Bruker Esprit version 1.9 software. For datasets including monoclinic phases, orientations were rotated from the Bruker unit cells where the non-90 degree angle is by convention gamma so that the non-90 degree angle is beta, the convention followed by HKL Channel5 software. Data were subsequently processed using EBSDInterp to perform microstrucurally contrained interpolation of missing data. Both raw and interpolated data are included in this collections.
