Curated Antibiofilm, Quorum Sensing, and Random Peptide Datasets (ABFP, QSP, and RP Sets)

This dataset compiles three curated peptide sets developed for the study “Mapping the Antibiofilm Peptide Space with Similarity Networks and Curated Negative Sets.”It includes: ABFPs (Antibiofilm Peptides): 387 experimentally validated antibiofilm peptides collected from 11 independent studies, including those annotated with MBIC, MBEC, and MBIC–MBEC values, reflecting their quantitative biofilm inhibition or eradication activity. QSPs (Quorum Sensing Peptides): 225 peptides involved in microbial communication and signaling pathways relevant to quorum sensing mechanisms. RPs (Random Peptides): 1,956 peptides generated as a compositionally neutral background to enable unbiased comparative analyses. All sequences are provided in FASTA format, with class identifiers (“ABFP”, “QSP”, and “RP”) at the beginning of each header to facilitate retrieval and automated processing.The dataset totals 2,568 peptide sequences and serves as a benchmark resource for machine learning, network analysis, and peptide activity prediction studies.
