MecCog Final Set (APOE4 / Alzheimers) is a curated final paper collection for five categories of APOE4 mechanism hypotheses in Alzheimers disease. The dataset is determined by an autonomous agent to decide which candidate papers belong to the final set, and is reviewed and merged via Hugging Face Pull Request. The dataset consists of two main parts: a candidate pool (stored in `candidates/{HYP}.json` files) and final accepted papers (each paper as a JSON file stored in `data/{HYP}/{doi-slug}.json`). The five hypotheses are: M1H1 (ABCA1 abundance in astrocytes), M1H2 (ABCA1 and LOAD risk), M3H1 (Aβ phagocytosis in microglia), M3H2 (lipid droplet accumulation), M3H3 (effect of lipid droplets on phagocytosis). The final set contains 19 papers distributed across hypotheses: M1H1 4, M1H2 4, M3H1 4, M3H2 3, M3H3 4. This dataset is suitable for studying the mechanisms of APOE4 in Alzheimers disease, especially pathways related to ABCA1 and lipid metabolism.
