资源简介:
The STRAW Digital Optical Module SN 49-2018-SD1.03 was deployed on 2018-06-25 at ODP 1027C. ODP 1027C is a borehole site used to pinpoint an area within Cascadia Basin. This device is a Digital Optical Module. Digital Optical Modules (DOM) have been a major part of the Strings for Absorption Length in Water (STRAW) project. The DOMs in this project detect light flashes from the Precision Optical Calibration Module (POCAM) as an emitter and and bioluminescence. The optical water properties can be deduced based on the detected light intensity and timing. This device is also used in the Pacific Ocean Neutrino Experiment (P-ONE) project. The components of the DOM in this project consist of photomultiplier tubes, scintillator muon trackers, and various other environmental sensors. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
