Whole genome assembly of the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica, strain A101. Yarrowia lipolytica A101 assembly

The strain A101 of the yeast species Yarrowia lipolytica was sequenced with Illumina technology: 1 paired-end library with a 400 bp insert and 1 mate pair library with a 8000 bp insert. Genome assembly was performed with SOAPdenovo 2.04 with K-mer = 59. The obtained assembly had a N50 of 2,044,027 bp. 29 scaffolds/contigs with length >5,000 bp were conserved with a cumulative size of 20,960,059 bp.
