Analysis of mutations introduced by tobacco-specific nitrosamine exposure in animal models

Mutagenic agents alter the DNA sequence in characteristic ways, which can be represented as compound-specific mutational signatures. This project aims to identify the mutation patterns induced by tobacco-specific nitrosamines, using whole-exome sequencing in mouse cell lines and rat tumors derived from tobacco-specific nitrosamine exposure.
