Synthetic Datasets for Multi-Basket Approach

Synthetic Datasets Synthetic datasets created for "Beyond the single-basket mindset: demonstrating a multi-gas approach to better constrain overshoot magnitude in near term global warming". All datasets were uploaded as .ZIP files; each pathway is a separate .TXT file. 1) Synthetic full random JSD - contains 5000 emissions pathways and their temperature outputs for CO2 & CH4. Data generated according to methods detailed in the article text. 2) AR6 CO2 CH4 AGTP output - contains the temperature outputs generated from the AR6 CO2 & CH4 emissions pathways. Temperature data were generated using an AGTP, with methods detailed in the article text. 3) Abrupt Methane Cuts - contains 1000 emissions pathways and their temperature outputs for CO2 & CH4, in which reduction of CH4 varies in speed and timing. Parameters for reduction are detailed in the article's Supplemental Materials.
