Energy expenditure via brown fat activation and induction of thermogenic program in white fat is associated with weight loss and metabolic benefits. In the current study, we investigated the effect of a small molecule, Sesaminol (SML) on brown fat activity and energy expenditure 8-12 weeks old C57BL6/J mice were treated with 5mg/kg BW, SML intraperiotoneally along with a high fat challenge for 10 days. Control and SML treated brown adipose tissues were subjected to RNA-seq to study global gene expression patterns.
