Metatranscriptomic Analysis of Mixed-Culture Fermentation Producing n-Propanol from Food Waste (PRJCA042750)

This project investigates the microbial communities and gene expression dynamics involved in the production of n-propanol from food waste using a novel mixed-culture fermentation mode, termed acetate-propanol fermentation (APF). Metatranscriptomic sequencing were performed to characterize key microorganisms and metabolic pathways responsible for n-propanol synthesis. The data support a new biosynthetic route involving a modified 1,2-propanediol pathway and provide insights for sustainable biofuel production from biomass waste.
