资源简介:
This study is a household-based population Tracking Results Continuously (TRaC) survey targeting youth age 15-24. This survey aims to answer three fundamental questions related to segmentation, monitoring and evaluation of Youth HIV Prevention targeted populations. This study does not attempt to be nationally representative; it will be conducted in eight districts of the country. It aims to address the key gaps in the BSS II and RDHS studies A total of 5000 youth age 15-24 will be interviewed. The primary objective of this study is to assess the impact of intensive youth HIV program interventions (such as mass media campaigns and interpersonal communication (IPC) activities) on self-reported risk behaviors (secondary abstinence, condom use and cross generational sex) and on psycho-social factors relating to those behaviors, compar ing program districts to non-program districts. The secondary objectives are to: 1) Assess the levels of the following behaviors among youth aged 15-24 in these districts: a. Secondary abstinence among youth aged 15-24 b. Condom use at last sex c. Cross generational sex (percentage of women and men aged 15-19 who have had non marital sex with a partner 10 years or more older than themselves in the last 12 months, of all those who have had non marital sex in the last 12 months) 2) Determine what psycho-social factors are associated with secondary abstinence and condom use at last sex.
