Differential Deep RNA Sequencing Revealed Various Bacterial Infections and Host Responses in Inflammatory Cardiomyopathy

We reported 4 single-sample cases and 3 control-sample cases of inflammatory cardiomyopathy using deep RNA-seq for detection of pathogenic agents. We identified various bacterial infections, analyzed genetic variants in patients and their differential gene expression caused by these infections in control-sample cases. Overall design: Deep RNA-seq of lesioned sample for detection of pathogenic agents in single-sample cases; differential deep RNA-seq of both lesioned and control samples for detection of pathogenic agents and characterization of host response in control-sample cases.
