Comparison of Transcriptome Between Tolerant and Susceptible Rice Cultivar Response to Rhizoctonia solani (PRJCA017641)

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most significant food crops worldwide, unfortunately,sheath blight (SB) has emerged as one of major diseases in rice, causing massive yield loss each year and threatening the world's food security. Breeding rice cultivars resistant to SB requires a thorough understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved, based on a broad exploration of innate immune genes in rice. To that end, we conducted a screening rice cultivars for resistance to SB and compared two transcriptomes based on RNA-seq between the most tolerant and susceptible cultivar.
