资源简介:
The Focal Terrestrial Plant Communities Monitoring database is the main storage location for all data related to the Focal Terrestrial Plant Communities Monitoring Protocol. It contains spatial information for plots that were surveyed, along with the species presence/absence, percent cover, canopy cover, and tree data.
The Pacific Island Network Inventory and Monitoring (PACN I&M) Program collected data of the status of plant communities of the parks in the PACN. The coastal strand of Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park (KAHO) and Kalaupapa National Historical Park (KALA) were surveyed, as were the subalpine shrubland of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (HAVO) and Haleakala National Park (HALE). The wet forest of HAVO, KALA, HALE, and National Park of American Samoa (NPSA) were also surveyed. In addition, the mangrove forest of American Memorial Park (AMME) and limestone forest of War in the Pacific National Historical Park (WAPA) were surveyed. Specifically, crews collected data on species richness; woody species density, DBH, vigor, height, and phenology; species cover; and coarse woody debris. All plant species were sampled within 20 x 50 m plots (wet forest and subalpine shrubland) or 10 x 20m plots (coastal strand).
