资源简介:

This Zenodo record contains the source code, input and processed data, analysis outputs, machine-readable supplementary tables, and network-visualization files associated with the manuscript “Hub-dominated and heavy-tailed organization of protein interaction networks within membraneless-organelles.” by Karan K. H. Manjunatha, Franco Aquistapace, and Monika Fuxreiter. The study maps membraneless-organelle (MLO) protein annotations onto a curated human protein–protein interaction network. The deposited materials support the construction and analysis of MLO PPI subnetworks, including their topology, Louvain community structure, hub organization, protein-set overlap, degree mixing, and heavy-tail behavior. The record also contains the analyses of the experimentally defined FUSIDR and MED1IDR condensate-associated PPI subnetworks. These analyses show that the MLO-associated subnetworks are sparse, overlapping, locally modular, hub-dominated, and heavy-tailed, rather than isolated pure scale-free modules. The deposited files are organized as follows: analysis.ipynb contains the complete analysis workflow; src.zip contains the supporting Python modules; data.zip contains the input and processed datasets used by the workflow; results.zip contains the generated figures, tables, analysis logs, reproducibility records, and machine-readable Supplementary Tables S1–S11; gephi.zip contains the Gephi project and network files used to visualize the complete human PPI largest connected component and its 16 global Louvain communities; and README.md describes the repository structure and provides instructions for reproducing the analyses. These materials are provided to support reproducibility of the associated study and further academic research on protein-interaction networks, membraneless organelles, biomolecular condensates, community organization, and complex networks. When using these materials, please cite this Zenodo record and the associated article once it is published. K.K.H.M. acknowledges support via a PhD scholarship from the Scuola Superiore Meridionale. M.F. acknowledges AIRC IG 26229 and PRIN 2022EMZJL4 for financial support. Questions concerning the deposited materials may be directed to the corresponding author, Monika Fuxreiter, at monika.fuxreiter@unipd.it.
