This series consists of minute books created by the Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (VA 506).These volumes contain the signed authoritative record of a variety of meetings including monthly meetings of the Hospital Committee (which by 1950 appears to have been renamed as the Committee of Management), special meetings and annual meetings of the Committee. From the late 1920's these volumes also recorded meetings of subsidiary Committees.Minutes were handwritten until August 1915. From then (commencing with unit 4 of the P0 consignment) minutes took the form of typewritten pages pasted into volumes. The introduction of this practice also resulted in the pasting of supplementary documents such as annual reports, financial statements and the occasional newspaper article.
