Circling back to inclusivity: Urban planning, reuse organisations and workforce development in the circular economy

This thesis helps urban planners understand what is needed to facilitate inclusive circular cities. Specifically it explores ways planners can support social sector reuse organisations (like charities and social enterprises) to provide employment and training opportunities for people otherwise facing disadvantages (like cultural and linguistic differences, lack of formal education, living with a disability, or being at-risk as a young person). Its findings have implications for how we as planners, not just spatially plan, but build coalitions with reuse organisations as well policymakers at the state and federal levels.
