Võ Thị Sương says the name of the action to pre-fire pots. This process is called cứng, which means 'hard, tough, rigid’. The aim of this step is to dry the pots completely and make them 'hard' so that they will not break during the firing process. The firing lasts for 30 minutes until the pots get black strains.
