The New York City social network location check-in dataset consists of two publicly available datasets: Gowalla and Brightkite, both of which are location-based social network datasets. The dataset is split into two components: user check-in data and user social network data, where the social network is undirected. The Gowalla dataset contains a total of 196,591 users and 950,327 edges, with 6,442,890 check-in records collected from users between February 2009 and October 2010. The Brightkite dataset includes 58,228 nodes and 214,078 edges, with 4,491,143 check-in records collected from users between April 2008 and October 2010, and has a total data volume of approximately 822 MB.
