The Dynamics of the University System in Selected Fields 1831 to 1987

Here the course of selected variables from the university system is analysed with time series analytical models. The data selection offers starting points to establish longer-term connections in the development of the university system than was previously possible. The primary concern of the investigation is clarification of some determinants of these long-term connections that have determined the course of fundamental variables of the university system in the long time interval from 1830 to today. Mit zeitreihenanalytischen Modellen wird hier der Verlauf ausgewählter Variablen aus dem Hochschulsystem analysiert. Der Datenausschnitt bietet Ansatzpunkte, längerfristige Zusammenhänge in der Entwicklung des Hochschulsystems festzustellen, als es bisher möglich war. Die Klärung einiger Determinanten dieser langfristigen Zusammenhänge, die den Verlauf grundlegender Variablen des Hochschulsystems in dem langen Zeitraum von 1830 bis heute bestimmt haben, ist Hauptanliegen der Untersuchung.
