资源简介:
This project involves RNA sequencing of sorghum mutant lines, specifically focusing on the relationship between seed coat color and phenolic compound content (PCC), as well as the secondary metabolites such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Sorghum grains are rich in phenolics, which offer health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. In this study, we explored the correlations between seed coat color and metabolite profiles, particularly tannins and flavonoids. RNA sequencing identified a significant number of differentially expressed genes (1,422 up-regulated and 1,586 down-regulated) related to seed coat color, with key findings from weighted gene co-expression analysis highlighting gene modules associated with color traits. These results provide valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms influencing seed coat pigmentation and metabolic profiles, which can aid in enhancing sorghum's food and industrial applications.
