资源简介:
Data generated by experiments designed to assess antioxidant responses resulting from 24 or 96 hr exposures to Corexit 9500 or DOSS. Parameters measured include levels of reduced glutathione levels (GSH), and oxidized glutathione (GSSG), both expressed as nM/mg wet weight of larvae, reactive oxygen species (ROS) measured as the increase in fluorescein resulting from the oxidation of dihydrodichlorofluorescein diacetate, and lipid peroxidation, measured using the TBARS assay which monitors increases in malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, both expressed as uM/mg protein of larval homogenates. Activities of a number of antioxidant cycle related enzymes are also provided including: glutathione-S-transferase (GST), glutamate-cystein-ligase (GCL), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), all expressed as nM/min/mg protein of larval homogenate. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is reported as units (U)/mg larval homogenate (each unit is equivalent to the amount of enzyme required to catalyze conversion of 1 uM of substrate/min). CYP1A activity was measured following the production of resorufin per larva in 24 hrs.
