Most popular clothing retailers in Finland 2018-2019

According to a consumer survey from 2019, at least every fourth respondent purchased clothing and footwear at hypermarkets in Finland. The popularity of the hypermarkets (Prisma, K-Citymarket) and discount retailers (Tokmanni, Halpa-Halli) increased considerably from 2018 to 2019. As of 2019, around 34 percent of the respondents said that they had bought clothes or footwear at Prisma hypermarket stores in the past 12 months. Other major clothing retailers in Finland were H&M, Zalando, Sokos, and Stockmann. H&M remained the most popular clothing retailer in 2019, although the share of customers slightly decreased from the previous year. Also, sportswear stores including Intersport, Stadium, XXL Sports & Outdoor, continued to be a popular choice of a clothing purchase for customers in Finland.
