Determining species for ZNIEFF in Brittany

The discrimination of natural areas of ecological, faunal and floristic interest is based on the use of so-called determining species and habitats. **Sources:** The observational data that enabled these assessments were acquired for the most part by the networks of volunteers organised around the naturalist associations of Brittany. The methods and lists have been validated by the Regional Scientific Council of Natural Heritage (RSCNH).
