A stepwise purification strategy (high-temperature oxidation → HF etching → H₂ reduction) can systematically remove carbon (Cₓ), silicon (Siₓ), and oxygen (Oₓ) impurities from coarse SiC nanowires, thereby significantly enhancing their performance as a Pd catalyst support.
