The dataset includes mismatch negativity (MMN) data from 19 individuals with cocaine and heroin use disorder (SUD) and 10 healthy control participants.
The stimulation sequence included speech stimuli created using ADOBE AUDITION software and recorded with sampling rate 44100 Hz and bit depth 16 bits (2 bytes per sample).
The stimuli included the vowels /a/, /e/, and /i/. The vowel /a/ (duration: 200 ms) was manipulated to create several deviant conditions:
(A) intensity deviant: intensity reduced by 3 dB (corresponds to approximately half the amplitude of the original wave);
(B) pitch deviant: pitch height raised by 3 semitones;
(C) duration deviant: shortened to 150 ms using time-stretching;
(D) location deviant with right localization (using a stereo system with speakers or earphones).
