资源简介:

Peatlands were detected as described in: Alpine peatlands: a multisensory pipeline allows for harmonised detection and reveals widespread degradation in the European Alps Marian Schönauer1,*, Elizaveta Avoiani2, Douglas L. Godbold1, Boris Rewald1 1 Department of Forest Protection and Wildlife Management, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno, 613 00 Brno, Czech Republic 2 Department of Forest Management and Applied Geoinformatics, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno, 613 00 Brno, Czech Republic * Corresponding author, marian.schoenauer@mendelu.cz; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2179-2898 EPSG:32633 Ground-truth polygons from >1,500 mapped, multinational sites were checked and merged to 702 distinct peatlands, consolidated into 317 areas of interest (AOIs). After Applying a minimum-mapping unit (~0.17 ha), yielded 626 evaluation sites (2019–2023). We investigated the best combination of Sentinel-2 optical features, Sentinel-1 backscatter, Landsat-8 surface temperature, and terrain metrics coupled with ridge regression models using grouped cross-validation with F₀.₅, alongside false-negative (FNR) and false-positive (FPR) rates. The best configuration (Sentinel-1 + Sentinel-2 + terrain) achieved a mean F₀.₅ of 0.415 ± 0.290; with optical features dominated variable importance.
