The MagSonic animation project is a visualisation of the carbothermal production of magnesium metal. \nMagnesium vapour is produced from magnesium oxide and carbon at very high temperature, and subsequently condensed and collected, in this visualisation of CSIRO’s MagSonic™ carbothermal magnesium process.\n\nLineage: The models and animation for this project were created by Kristina Johnson (IM&T) using Autodesk Maya. The final result was achieved through lively conversations, sketches, video and photographs exchanged through email and at meetings.
