资源简介:
This study investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance to the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus) in three different varieties (Malayan Tall, Malayan Yellow Dwarf, Pandan) coconut (Cocos nucifera). The red palm weevil is one of the most destructive pests of coconut, causing significant agricultural and economic losses worldwide. To better understand host defense pathways and identify candidate genes associated with resistance, RNA-Seq transcriptome sequencing was performed on coconut leaf tissues. The dataset generated from this study provides a valuable resource for gene expression profiling, comparative transcriptomics, and the development of molecular markers for breeding programs aimed at enhancing resistance to red palm weevil infestation. These transcriptomic data serve as an important contribution to coconut genomics and pest-management research.
