Note: here is provided data and code accompanying the article.<br><br>We provide new evidence on return migrants during the Age of Mass Migrationusing a large dataset of linked US migrants and stayers in Sweden. Focusing on indi-viduals first observed in childhood, we estimate returns to temporary migration con-trolling for a number of pre-migration characteristics. We document limited effects onlabor income and occupational upgrading, but find large wealth effects. Male returneesheld almost twice the wealth of stayers and were 40 percent wealthier than their stay-ing brothers. These effects were likely driven by accumulated savings overseas. Forfemale returnees, wealth effects were of similar magnitude, realized primarily throughmarriage.<br>
