We presented a bivariate twin study to determine the genetic variants associated with body mass index and waist hip ratio, and explore the obesity-related pathway in Northern Han Chinese.Genomic DNA was extracted from whole peripheral blood. Genotyping of 278 eligible DNA samples from 139 DZ twin pairs were performed by using the Infinium Omni2.5Exome-8v1.2 genotyping BeadChips (Illumina Inc, San Diego, USA).
